DermLite Lumio Skin Examination Device with 2x Magnification

The DermLite Lumio is a handheld skin examination device designed for general skin illumination where a glare-free, magnified view of the skin surface is needed. Its 75mm lens provides 2x magnification and its 40 bright-white LEDs with permanent cross-polarisation eliminate surface glare, revealing subsurface skin detail that is not visible under standard clinical lighting.

The Lumio sits between a naked-eye examination and a close-contact dermatoscope in the clinical workflow. Where a dermatoscope like the DermLite DL5 provides high-magnification contact dermoscopy for individual lesion assessment, the Lumio is used for broader area skin examination — scanning larger regions of skin to identify areas of interest before moving to the dermatoscope for detailed evaluation.

Common clinical applications include examination of pigmented skin lesions during full-body skin checks, assessment of varicose veins and vascular patterns, evaluation of hair follicles and scalp conditions in trichology, and general dermatological screening where enhanced illumination aids visual assessment.

The device is powered by 4 x AA batteries (included), delivering a minimum of 250 examinations at 30 seconds each. Supplied with a protective neoprene pouch.
