The Welch Allyn ProBP 2000 is a compact, handheld professional blood pressure monitor designed for clinical spot-checking in GP practices, urgent care settings, and home visit contexts. At $225, it is the entry point into the Welch Allyn professional BP range — delivering the same SureBP measurement technology found in the higher-specification ProBP 3400, in a lightweight, battery-powered format that fits in a coat pocket or clinical bag.
SureBP technology measures blood pressure during cuff inflation rather than deflation, producing a validated reading in approximately 20 seconds with less patient discomfort than traditional deflation-based monitors. The large LCD display shows systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings simultaneously, and the built-in irregular heartbeat (IHB) indicator flags arrhythmia for clinician attention during routine checks.
The ProBP 2000 runs on 4 x AA batteries (included) and does not require a charging station or mains connection, making it well suited to practices without a fixed BP monitoring workstation, or to clinicians who need a reliable monitor across multiple rooms. An optional mains power supply is available separately (part #WA-107041). The unit uses the Welch Allyn FlexiPort cuff system, validated for sizes 09 through 13, and ships with an Adult reusable cuff (#Reuse-11) as standard. Replacement and alternative-size FlexiPort cuffs are available in DocStock's accessories range.
